Centrifuge for ethanol extraction

How does it work?

Ethanol extraction uses food-grade ethyl alcohol as a solvent to pull cannabinoids and terpenes from botanical material. The plant matter is soaked — typically at cold temperatures (cryo-ethanol) to reduce co-extraction of chlorophyll and waxes — and the ethanol solution is then filtered and recovered via falling-film or rotary evaporation.

After sufficient contact time, the mixture is filtered to remove plant solids and the solvent is carefully evaporated under vacuum, leaving a concentrate which can be further processed to a purer distillate or isolate, preserving quality through precise temperature control.
